If your doorway is slightly narrower than our standard gate sizes, the gate can be gently curved to fit, as shown in some of our photos. Just measure your opening and choose the closest compatible size.
When not in use, the gate folds flat to one side or can be easily removed from the brackets and stored away. The brackets remain fixed in place for quick, convenient setup next time.

All gates are made in the United KIngdom.
The metal work is curved and welded in Peterborough and the
joining clips moulded in Horsham, West Sussex.
Each gate is hand assembled to order and packed in Horsham,
West Sussex, UK.
Detailed Installation Guidance
Each Dog-G8 Motorhome/Caravan arrives fully assembled with four mounting brackets, making installation quick and straightforward.
Use the gate hooks as a guide to position the brackets correctly. We recommend fitting the gate around 1cm above floor level to clear mats or flooring.
Fit two brackets to one side of the vehicle doorway, usually the fly screen frame, and the remaining two directly opposite.
For uPVC, composite or smooth metal surfaces, use the high-strength adhesive supplied. For wood, plasterboard or other suitable surfaces, we recommend screw-fixing the brackets securely in place.
Once installed, simply hook the gate into position. It will sit across the habitation door, creating a secure barrier while allowing your dog visibility and ventilation.
When not in use, the gate can be removed from the brackets or folded flat to one side.
Full fitting instructions are included with every Dog-G8.
How to fit
Mount the brackets on either side of your motorhome or caravan entrance. In many vehicles, the brackets can be fitted directly to the fly-screen frame, without preventing the fly screen from opening or closing as
normal.
Once the brackets are securely installed, simply slot your pre-assembled DOG-G8 into position. The gate can be extended across the entrance when needed, folded neatly to the side, or completely removed from its brackets when not in use.

How strong is the gate?
The gate itself is extremely durable. It is made from steel and secured with screw-locked clips, making it deceptively strong despite its minimal design.
Our chrome variant is the strongest option and offers greater durability than the powder-coated version. We recommend chrome for Motorhomes/Caravans with multiple dogs or large breeds.
For maximum strength, it is essential that the mounting brackets are securely fixed to a suitable surface, as the overall performance of the gate depends on a solid installation.
If the brackets are incorrectly installed, they will be the first component to fail.
Do I need extra mounting brackets?
Each gate is supplied with four mounting brackets, which is sufficient to install the gate in one location.
Additional brackets are available if you would like to dock the same gate in multiple areas, such as moving it between the front door and motorhome. Installing extra brackets allows the gate to be relocated quickly and securely between pre-fitted positions without needing additional gates.
I have a Fly Screen by my habitation door, will this still work?
You can mount the four brackets to the fly-screen frame using our high-grade adhesive. The adhesive bonds extremely well to the flyscreen surface and doesn't prevent the fly screen from opening/closing. Once the brackets are installed, they stay in place permanently and the gate can be docked in and out as you need.
How do you remove adhesives?
To remove the adhesive, gently warm the bracket with a hair dryer, then carefully work a Stanley blade behind the bracket to release it from the surface.
Once removed, any remaining adhesive residue can be gently cleaned away.
