The metal work is curved and welded in Peterborough and the joining clips moulded in Horsham, West Sussex.
Each gate is hand assembled to order and packed in Horsham, West Sussex, UK.
Detailed Installation Guidance
Each Dog-G8 Front Door arrives fully assembled with four mounting brackets, making installation quick and straightforward.
Use the gate hooks as your guide to position the brackets correctly. We recommend fitting the gate around 1-2cm above floor level to clear any door mats. The hooks extend approximately 3cm from the mounting surface, helping the gate clear common obstructions such as skirting boards.
Two brackets are fitted to the door frame, recess or surrounding wall, while the other two are mounted directly to the front door.
For uPVC, composite, glass or smooth metal surfaces, you can use the high-strength adhesive supplied. For wood, plasterboard or other suitable surfaces, we recommend screw-fixing the brackets securely in place.
Once installed, simply hook the gate into position. It will open alongside your front door, creating a secure secondary barrier so you can welcome visitors or accept deliveries with greater control.
The gate can be removed from the brackets or manually folded flat when not required, and additional panels can be added if you need to extend beyond the standard widths.

Will my dog jump over Dog-G8 for front doors?
In over 6 years of trading and extensive internal testing, we have not received any reports of dogs jumping over the DOG-G8 when used at the front door. This is largely due to the context in which it’s used. You are typically present while the door is open, allowing you to give training commands, and the gate is designed to stop dogs rushing past legs and feet.
Additionally, because the door cannot open fully when the DOG-G8 is in place, the available space is reduced, making jumping far less likely.
How do I fix Dog-G8 to my front door?
Each gate comes with four mounting brackets. Two are fixed to the side wall or door frame, and two are fixed directly to the front door.
You can attach the brackets using our high-grade adhesive tape on composite, uPVC, glass, or metal surfaces. For wood, plasterboard, or brick, we provide screws for a secure screw-fix installation.
How strong are the adhesives?
When applied correctly to the appropriate surfaces (uPVC, composite, glass, or metal), the adhesive bonds extremely effectively.
The brackets should be installed with firm pressure and left for 24 hours to fully cure. Once set, the adhesive can support direct weight of up to 40kg.
